seriously could be anything..
the picture shown was a spoon vtec controller... i know because i was about to purchase one of them.
DIY or get sum1 to take ur console apart, follow the wire.. maybe the previous owner CBF taking it out ebcasue it would look ugly with a hole in the console. so they chopped the wires and left the switch there-

hey its from my car.. i post it on a while ago , some ppl was asking how does a vtec controller looks like. as for da answer, its a "Spoon vtec controller"

i was dailing it while driving, when i turn it + i could hear this vtec blast sound between 2900 3200rpm ! when i turn it the other side doesn't make that noise, so i assume it has something to do with the vtec.. cant be audio..

follow the wire coming off the dial to see what it is.....

Since you say your knob has no brand, Im thinking it was used for rice enhancements.

Prob to adjust neon light brightness or the doof doof synchronisation with the SUBs.

my mate has a similar switch from his kicker amp. so it might be from that.

But if you say you played with it and it had a full hektic vtec blast. i'd follow the heard and go with take it off and follow the wires.
