    The S = F22a6
    Si & Si SRS = H23a1

in 94 the VTi-R then replaced the Si H23a1 with the H22a1 VTEC

    hope that helps man

how much are you looking at spending on a new engine? Ive got a 94 lude with a veilside body kit on it Im just about to put up for sale and Im planning on just getting rid of it quickly for $4500. The car is starting to have some problems with rust and other small bits and pieces but the engine is A+++++. I actually just had the enginre replaced a year and a bit ago when my timing belt snapped. I bought a second hand engine with 70,000 on the clock and Ive added probably another 50,000 ontop of that. from what I can remember I think the engine set me back 3 or 4 grand... their not cheap.

Digging up an old thread !

The Vti-r is Australian. Has the H22A1 engine that was made to produce 142kw and the car weighs ~1325 kg

The Si-Vtec is Japanese. Has the H22A engine that was made to produce 147kw and the car weighs ~1240 kg

These specs are from memory and i'd be happy to be corrected
