    Warranty Question

    Hi,

I had my 1 month (1000km) checkup recently and my Honda dealer has given me mixed information about my next check up.

The mechanics in the service book, have said 10k km or 6 month check up dated 6 months from the day I had my 1 month check up, however the office lady was trying to tell me its actually 6 months from when I first purchased the car, which just happens to be in 3 months time.

    Is she pulling my leg?

10,000km OR 6 months, which ever comes first.

Umm thanks, but that wasn't really the question.

I don't really do that much driving, so I will hit 6 months before I hit 10,000 km.

The question is does the 6 months start from when u first bought the car (which is what the sales lady is telling me), or 6 months from when u last had your can serviced (which is what the mechanic told me).

    Cheers!

If you listen to any Dealer, it's as lolmclol says, 10,000km OR 6 months, which ever comes first. However, it also depends on what was done at 1000km. Normally, the 1000km is just a check up, to make sure nothing falls off. The normal 10,000 km service would include an oil change, for which 3 months is a short period. Either way, it's up to you, you could service it once a year, so long as it's at 10,000 km intervals and they would still honor your warranty.
