    Question B18c Vtec In LS

    Hi Guys/Gals,

I know there was another post about this but I want to know if anyone knows of places to get a front cut for this engine. I'm looking at getting this conversion done. I'm in Sydney, I don't mind where I get it from but also if anyone knows of a good place to do the conversion.

    Thanks.

just picked up a b18c2 engine tonight, mounting the bottom end with an earlier purchase of a b16a2 head and a full rebuild with hi comp pistons and rods and whalla GSI that goes hard... hahaha if only it was that simple eh!@

in a few years time you would have sold ya teg for a new car.
IF by then u still have it, u might aswell go k20a as it will be much much cheaper and more readily avaliable as oppose to a b18c.

yeh but im sure a b18c will be a much easier fit than a k20a.
i was recommended to put either a b20 vtec or a b16a head on the stock b18a and then change the pistons and cams and so on.
will give u more power than just puttin in a b18c.
my mate is currenlty going with the b20 option at the moment, ill keep u posted how it turns out, if it goes well ill prbably do the same 2 mine

    u'd be stupid to use a b20 head on a b18a block.

i meant b20vtec engine all together, or get a b16a head put on the b18a. 2 seperate options.
puttin a b20 head on a b18a would be a waste of time, correct
