replacement detachable faces? can you get them?

My car was recently broken into and the bums stole my face plate and left the cd player part in the dash. i was just wondering if you can buy the face plate seperately. My deck was a clarion item but around 3 years old. is it possible to still get them from clarion?

anyone had any experience?

You can. They require serial number / proof of purchase for obvious reasons. Not cheap though. Sometimes almost as much as the unit. Age of the unit will effect availability.

In the case of Clarion just contact any authorised dealer or the Clarion service centre on 03 8558 1115.

Sorry to hear that Dave. Yeah you should generally be able to get the faces quite easily. Usually the company's should keep spare parts for 7 years or so, well that's the rule for Pioneer and Sony.

They are usually pretty expensive though, find out the price, if its gonna be that expensive then might as well get a new unit.
