speed sensor compatibility

Got a CTR gearbox thats missing the speed sensor and shaft. Does anyone know if speed sensors from different gearbox's are compatible?

I found one from a cable B-series gearbox, will this be ok in my CTR gearbox?

it should fit, the only thing is the gear that drives the speedo cable, determins the acuracy of your speedo.
