EF SiR's... What things/problems to look for.

Hey guys, I have been looking @ some EF Sir's, such as Crx Sir and Civic Sir.

The ones i have checked out so far have been fairly good mechanically but the bodies have generally been rough.

Basically i am just wondering what problems all the EF sir owners have had with their cars or what things to look out for.

'91 CRX SiR 90000k when I bought it 160K now.

I change the engine oil every 5k and gearbox every10k.Also changed
the timing belt when I bought it.

Haven't had any major probs in 3 years... had to replace the brake booster, cost $100 bucks or something. The body was straight so no drama there.

The climate control worked for about 4 weeks lol, so i guess that might be something to look out for. I doubt you will be able to get any sort of service history(being an import). So just quizz the owner how often they change the oil etc...

Check for an import compliance plate.Just the usual stuff when buying any car.

    hope this helps
