Thread: New Jazz model

  1. #13
Check this website out. It's the thailand's jazz official website. Nothing of a special model but just one of the variations that they have.

    http://www.hondajazzlife.com/jazz_cool/en/index.html

It's called Jazz Cool by the way. No type R badge... nothing...

Don't think we'll see that Thai domestic model in Australia especially as I understand it is a limited edition over there. Similarly no Thai Honda Citys (Fit Arias) in oz.

Our Jazzes are still sourced from Japan (thank goodness for quality) but rear drums instead of discs (Thai and Chinese built Jazzes and Citys have rear discs).

A lot of Thais are monumentally unimpressed with Honda Thailand. Wonderful video of women smashing her Thai built CRV in the middle of Bangkok due to Honda not addressing her vehicles many problems. Guess Honda Australia isn't the only slack regional office. Wonderful Thai national news coverage of the event. Toyota is held in far higher regard throughout Thailand.

Similarly the Thai built Accord has had problems that would be unheard of on a Japanese built Accord Euro.

The difference in fit and finish on the Thai built Jazz is noticable. I know when I was at last years Bangkok Motor Show the displayed Jazz Cool (VTEC Jazz available for the 1st time) seat material looked the same as ours but felt different. Stitching was poor with ends of threads visable. Panel gap was visible (abit not as bad as a Commodore). Paint finish was inferior. Welds not as neat. Factory brake pads are different.
