    Changing gears

    i have a shortshift kit in my civic coupe, when i change into 3rd gear it doesnt bite as well and it makes a crnnnnk!! (when racing) sounds which i asume that is not normal. gearbox problems? clutch? help?

    Does it hit the plastic trim when you shift? A friends did and we had to customize the trim piece. Check the bolts and make sure none are loose too.

    no it doesnt hit the plastic trim. when u change gears to 3rd and if u do it like slowly then its ok

    Sounds like synchros then. Short shift kits make it too easy to slam gears, thus putting more stress on the synchros.
