Wink Just Bought ed Civic GL...

    Hi Peeps,

Just bought a stocko 89 ed civic hatch, just wandering if any one knows how much it cost to convert to one either a B18c5 or a K20a (both ITR)?

Has anyone done this before or know of anyone who has, tips on do's & don't's would muchly appreciated.

And also which one should i go for?

    Thanks in advance.

    Plus I'm is Brissie

    Cheers.

welcome mate....if u got a spare briefcase full of cash i'd go with the k20 ftw !! It all depends on how much u got to spend really ? Also how much u love your car and willing to spend on it just to make it unique ?

the car belongs to GnJracing....and its damn quick...

    k20a requires alot of money....
b18cr still requires money just not as much

also b18c is alot cheaper to work with and alot less hassle...easier to source and parts are readily available

To get someone else to put a B18CR in a carby ED properly with decent mounts & do a major service on the engine as well while its out, your gonna be waving good buy to $12G+.

To do it for $9G,theres gonna be a lot of corners cut somewhere & prob cost a lot more further down the line with repairs, your choice.
