this is not true.

you can do the B20VTEC without a GE VTEC conversion kit

all you need is to:

  • close off the oil hole in the VTEC head (weld or use 1/8 pressure plug)
  • enlarge the two dowel holes in the head (drill matched to dowel pin size)
  • make a VTEC oil line (earls hose fitting - 800106, earls hose fitting - 806106, 3ft earls -6 prolite*hose - 350306)
  • remove the 3/8 pressure plug from the back of the head, add a 3/8 BSP to -6AN adaptor, (Pirteck or Enzed)
  • remove the oil pressure warning light switch and add a 1/8 BSPT to -6AN adaptor, (pirtek or enzed)
  • obtain a B20Bhead gasket (eg Cometic C4193-030 or OEM Honda)


and that should match the Kit, for a quite a few less bucks...
