B16a puts down more power than 80kW atw. And I've seen stock RX-8s put down anything from 109kW to 122kW (both on the same day and on the same dyno)
hence i said slightly more relevant, not completely the same.
rotary motor has less moving parts, hence less energy wasted on each part, so the engine is somewhat relevant to power at the wheels.

@90LAN- i have read what the original topic about. the title is how fast is an rx8, the question was how fast they ran down the quarter mile, the statement was that he beat one, and the answer to the quarter mile time was given early in the thread.

no, i dont have a b16a powered eg6, but bragging about one beating an rx8 one time would be like me bragging about my ed6 keeping up with evos in the hills. until theres a time slip or a printed record, no one really gives a rats ass, even if i can keep up with the odd evo in the hills.
