Chrome:- I doubt it's the drive-by-wire dc motor...cause then it would be happening all the time...it only happens above 80km/h or so....when accelerating in lower gears or from idle...no noise.
Personally for a 2004 Euro (I also have a 2004 Euro), I'd be changing all the fluids unless your log books show that everything has been done according to schedule. The only thing that I would do more often is the ATF fluid. 6 years is too long. Do it every 2 years. Our 94 Accord auto which is supposed to have a good gearbox shat itself after 6 years with gentle driving (dad is a fuel miser). We got a replacement box from a write off and started changing ATF every 2 years and the auto trans is still going well now in 2009.
