I pulled the old head unit out today and who ever installed it has done a bogey job, folding up little bits of steel and riveting them to the head unit.

Anyway All I have to work with is a big gap with two holes on either side.

My question is: should there be a cradle or a shelf or something in there that the previous owner has thrown out?
