I reckon it's time to start this thread, maybe it'll be useful for some of you, or just for fun...
Car is a stock '99 Civic Sedan GLI, it's my son's 1st car. We (parents) paid for the car, he's paying for the sound system.
Here's the plan:
- Front doors and boot are getting sound deadening treatment
- Power cable (2ga/35sqmm) will be run straight from the battery
- MDF/fiberglass sub enclosure in the boot, to receive a 12'' Rainbow Hammer sub
- enclosure/housing for Hifonics Zeus zxi 4.150 RMS amp
- Front doors are getting MDF/fibreglass doorboards to receive 2x Polk Audio 6501 6.5'' woofers per door
- A-pillars are going to hold the tweeters, either in a fibreglass, or something else... will see...
- Battery needs to be replaced, thinking of Optima Yellow Top, but we're open to your suggestions...
- A power cap is going to support the power supply to the amp - nothing fancy, but shall do the job...
- HU is the Alpine 117E, it's got what we need for starters
- ... there is probably more, but I can't remember now...

I'll start with some photos, and will update as often as possible.
