MOTUL technical partners Nissan Motorsports have taken out the Bathurst 12 Hour victory in 2015! Reaping revenge after last year’s unfortunate crash which saw the GT-R leave the race after the third hour of the twelve-hour event, Katsumasa Chiyo was at the controls of the #35 car again, overtaking the Phoenix Racing Audi and the Bentley Motorsports Continental GT3 right at the final restart to take the lead.

Chiyo shared seat time with GT Academy drivers Wolfgang Reip and Florian Strauss as part of the Nissan Global Athlete team. Claiming victory signified the first win not only for the Nissan Global Athlete team but also a symbolic trophy for the ‘Godzilla’ GT-R at Bathurst, which hadn’t claimed first place at the mountain course since 1992.
