What's this oil system flush and fuel treatment?I'll bet it's Wynns or something like it.HA do not recommend ANY additives(it says so in the manual).Next service tell them where they can stick their additives, all they are is revenue raising for the service dept.Workshop supplies are fluids they may use to top up PS,brake fluid, radiator etc.(they all charge this). My service dept.charges me $12.00 for this!!!

EuroDude, you got ripped off. Change to a different dealer for servicing. PM me for my dealer details ($250 for 20,000km service)

    1. Refuse to pay for any additives as they are not part of the routine service and are a way for the service department to make easy money. Furthermore, argue that these are not endorsed by Honda Australia and that you will hold them responsible for any potential damage.
    2. Oil flushes are DEFINITELY not recommended.

The thing is, I get two years extra warranty if I stick with my dealer.

U think an extra $70 every 6 months for 3 years (total $420) is enough to justify the extra 2 years?
Or buy Honda's extra 3 years wty for something like $700 and ditch this dealer?

Damn it's one of those dealers that offer their extended dodgy warranty. Our Astra had a similar dealer. Can you say $450 20,000km servicing?

If you value the extra 2 years of warranty, then stay with your dealer.

    $450? zomg thats hectic

Maybe next time i'll ask them not to do the oil flush and fuel additive, and bring my own $30 Honda FEO oil

They will probably add some other BS charge like "flush and changed halogen fluid" or something lol

Actually I don't think they do unless you made a complaint about losing power. I believe in many new cars they don't look at the valve clearances, because if it is not done properly, it will make it worst instead.

When I first got my 10k service, the Honda dealer charged me $210 + my own oil. I feel they are ripping me off. I never take my car back to them ever since.
