theyfully rebuilt the motor with forged pistons, new rings etc. bigger injectors, custom anifold, ball bearing T3/T4 size turbo, front mount intercooler etc running a microtech MTX12 or LTX12 (cant remember just now)Bored and honed block. He got it back one time , drove it (easy) for a day and it started boiling over, it destroyed the block, had to get a new block. They have tried to dyno tune 4 times and still no luck (smoky, poor idle etc). It wouldnt idle and it was determined that the rpm pulse was playing up back to the ecu.He got it back friday and by sat. arvo it was coughing and spluttering again.

This after spending $15-16k on conversion is pathetic in my opinion

yes it is man! There seems to be a few issues from what u hvae said, but the big issue is definately the engine build for the first boiling over problem. Poor engine builder is the word!
Smoky? smoky = poor engine build again! poor idle is the microtechs PWM output that has trouble controlling the different compensation required for cold/warm idle.
Id go ot Adrian at Toda man, he knows what to do

    IMO pornstar is right.

do these guys have any kind of reputation for rebuilding Honda engines ? they may be good at doing Holden V8's but that dont mean shit. Honda engines have fine clearences and if are not met you may have problems. is the engine its self noisy? when you say smoky what colou smoke. if its black then its just a usual engine running rich problem which means take it to some one who knows how to tune a car. if its blue id be very pissed with the people who rebuilt it. dont let them try to tell you its normal coz its not.

Screaming performance or wild1 conversions, both in wollongong. Screaming have done a few honda turbos to my knowledge and i think wild1 has done 1 or 2.

Err, this might sound like a dumb question but when the forged pistons went in, did they sleeve the motor too? You didn't say.

    yes they sleeved the motor,

it was puffin blue a bit on idle and black on acceleration
