DC5 Type R Questions

I'm currently looking at some DC5 Type Rs for sale. I looked at a 2004 model built in July '04, so it was close to probably one of the last ones made for Australia. I know that only the 2 front seats are Recaros, but I noticed that the back seats were a standard black colour with some colour stripes in them. I don't remember seeing that in other Type Rs. Is that common to the 2004 models, or do all Australian DC5 Type Rs have the back seats with that pattern as it seems a bit odd and not in sync with the rest of the car.

Can anyone with a DC5 Type R reply and let me know, and give me any other tips or other things to look out for apart from the usual common sense things.

The dealer wants $37,000 drive away for the 2004 DC5 Type R with 25,000kms because of the rarity. I personally think it's a bit high, and insurance companies are only willing to cover the car for around $32,000 which is their market value.

Yeh AUDM DC5R rear seats are black.

I know the front seats have red stitching, but look at the pic and you can see that the back seats at the left side of the photo have some sort of pattern in them. Is that standard or has it been changed?

Well mine 2002 one doesnt have red stripes/stitching on it.

No patterns or flecks.

Has mesh bit in the middle.

not meant to be like that

mine are black with red stitching and mesh in the middle.

ask the dealer where the originals are.

check all the panels and under carriage of it as could have been repaired
