    EM1 VTI-R or DC2 VTI-R?

Hey guy's, the choice is between a
Honda Civic EM1 VTI-R or Honda Integra VTI-R
    Both 5spd.

What is the better car to get? To be honest i like the look of the Civic a little more. Is the Integra alot quicker?

Not to sound like a prick or anything but its really up to you.

Take both cars out for a test drive and see which you like more, put pro's and con's together for both cars.

and im not 100% but i think the dc2 VTiR is quicker.

IMO they are both very nice cars and it is a hard decision, i ended up with a dc2 VTiR but hey thats me

btw when you make up your mind and purchase something you should come to some of the Melb meets

    as the above user said
    its up to you...

I would go with the EM1 as it looks hotter then the DC2

Yeah thanks for the reply guy's.
It is a bit of a hard one. Because both cars are in the same Price range.
Something about the EM1's that i like. I like th DC2 VTI-R's because of the engine.

I also have a question, It said on redbook that the EM1 VTi-R Uses more fuel then the DC2 VTI-R on the Fuel Consumption Specs. Wtf is up with that?
They could have made a mistake.

Btw i will definatly come on to the Melb meets once I make my decision I'm also in the West

Yea in the end its really up to you which you prefer, the DC2 is quicker, don't think its ALOT quicker but it is there. I think its something like both cars are on par on 1st and 2nd gear but the DC2 pulls away on 3rd (1.6L vs 1.8L). I prefer the feeling of driving a DC2 over the EM1 but seeing you like the looks of the EM1 that might be the better choice for you.

Petrol wise I'm not too sure, but with my DC2 and my friends EM1 he definitely gets better mileage per tank than I do, but mines 94 (170k +) model and his is 98 (80k +) so age could be the factor?

I would be thinking the 1.6L would be better on Fuel anyhow.
The only thing favouring the DC2 VTI-r is that the price of the DC2's are cheaper then EM'1. Well not to forget the EM1's I am looking at are 1999 models whilst the DC2's are 1995.

being a em1 owner, heres the deal i think really good car which suprised me as i never had love for honda before as i was a nissan turbo follower.
however after owning my em1 for some months now very happy except the seats got them re padded however not they r fine.
other than that i get 450kms out of 45litre tank to which i can never put in more than 40litres
as for performace i have done CAI i/h/e and can keep up wif my mates vz storm ute with same mods as mine, older 5ltrs list goes on, so u will be no snail and its quiet a fun little car to throw around and fun playing in the vtec range and at the end of the day being 99-00 u wont get much troubles + low kms......ppl will disagree thats dc2 lovers but take both for a try and make ur opion
