92 Breeze upgrade

Hi all, pretty noob to the car scene but im slowly learning, so please bear with me.

I've got a stock 92 Breeze Carb and was wondering its time to do it up a bit. Im a uni student on a tight ass budget so i can't do anything HUGE. Don't expect performance gain or anything, its a fuel economical car so i want i leave it that way.

At the moment, i want to get some new wheels, something like this:

Will these 17" fit my car? If it doesn't and requires modification, how much am i expecting?

Another thing i want to do is upgrade my exhaust. How much will this cost me? I want something like a 3" cannon with some noise. Not too loud but enough. Will an air filter work in my car? If so, please advise.

To that, i want to respray my car. Not the whole thing, but there are some paint thats fading and if im gonna do it up, i might as well respray it a nice red. BTW, my current paint is red. How much is it to re-touch the bad spots in my car?

17" will make your car really really slow..
it's slow as it is..
it'll be slower..
i know how these 1.3L carbs go like
i used to have 1 too
anything u do to the car wont increase performance significantly.
i suggest u just lower it.
put rear sway bars on and disc brakes and put some nice 15" rims on it.
and then save up for a engine conversion

well it'll be much slower and it'll feel definately sluggish than what it is..
and trust me the breeze are only good for just shopping... lol

yeh better off going for 15" rims and keeping the same outer radius so it wont slow the car.

The cheapest engine conversion would probably be the Carby engine from the 1.5L Civic GL. Things start to get expensive when u go for an EFI upgrade to a D16A8 Si engine or the Vti's SOHC-VTEC engine, and even more expensive if u drop in a B Series such as a B16A.
In all honesty, u are better off selling the car and getting a quicker EG such as a VTI or Si. Engine conversions are time consuming and can be very costly.

I went to Tuffy and got my Civic's CatBack exhaust (the Muffler and Tip) and fat tip for something like $500, its not very expensive upgrading the exhaust if u simply wanna change the sound.

edit: is 34L for 450km good economy? ATM, i'm not using the normal unleaded, i'm using the 95 octane petrol from BP and i noticed an increased in KM achieved.

ah.. fuel economy..
carby's are good on fuel but if they are off tune they can drink more.
and it's not that easy to tune a carby motor..
i find the EFi motors are better in fuel consumption.

on my breeze my B16a did about 650-700 km out of a tank but this is because i live in a rural area.
my carby did about 550-600 km but once service is near it dramticly fell to about 400+
if i was in your situation i would be doing a conversion.
i did 1 in my first breeze and it cost me around 3K to get a B16a in and running
but this is a while back..

wow.. it only cost $50 to upgrade to dual carby? thats very tempting. was reading the conversion threads, is it right that i will be expecting around $1000 installation? Does it need an engineer cert?
