hmm.. since they dont have your size, Try the handkooks S2 tyre, they are pretty good for the price..

    Ventus R-S2 Z212

The world's first use of High Grip Silica Compound (HGSC) Technology Enables outstanding grip.
    Crisp Cornering
Extra wide shoulder blocks and steel reinforced 2-layer carcass ensure tight cornering

They are pretty much around GIII and 050A standards but heaps cheaper.

yeah i'm using them and my bro is using them on his DC2R.
really good tyre for the price.
plenty of lateral grip. no problems with them at all.
i was using dunlop FM901's before this and i found that these perform nearly as well. prob not quite as much grip from a standing start but still enough.
overall, a good tyre you won't be dissappointed with. much better than GIII's imo

A few of my mates in the wrx club using these tyres on sand down and they love it for the price and thread wear.. it is a high performance tyre but lower then the S03 in the wet.

As for the S2, they are pretty much better then GIII and about the same as RE050A. (one thing i can say, the Hankooks are more predictable then the GIII when understeer)

But if you are going to push very hard on the track, they are no way near S03 and RE55S semi slicks. For Value of money and good grip in the dry & wet, they are very good bang for your bunks..

If i have a choice for street use, i will chose the S03.. if i want a cheaper option, the hankooks S2 will be my 2nd choice..

What did the s2's set you back sounds like a good tyre??

isnt the s03 being replaced by the re-01r

FYI I raced on the re-01r in a spec f2000 series were a great tyre awesome in the dry and decent in the wet lasted a long time (well the car only weighed 600kgs wet) and would last about 12 laps b4 they went off on a track that was pretty hard on tyres id expect them to be pricey tho

Can anyone comment on Pirelli P700's in 215/40/R17?

I'm upgrading my stockies on the DC2 and instead of getting cheap rubber, have decided to upgrade to these. What other options am I looking at for decent rubber on 215/40/r17 that looks good aswell?

Try Maxxis Ma-z1 vitra, $185 per corner for 215/45/17 including fitting and balance. Tthe grip on the dry is quite good, overall its good for what they worth, i can definately launch at 5k rpm with out wheels spin.

    yeah,

apparently, the NSW distributor doesnt have any and cannot tell any dealers when they will be restocked with this S2-Z212's... so they told me that i'd be better off getting another tyre...

Lol, still no luck with any G3's or C.Drives (195/55/15) for under $150... best quote was $165 a piece...
