I think you're paying too much. The GM at Honda dealer I knew can give me $42,000 on exactly the same car that you're ordering (without the bodykit of course, otherwise add another $1,500). They're ripping you off, try to negotiate the price.

I believe this. It's all up to the dealer, whether they want to give you or not.
I am not surprised if people can get it for less than 42K (or even less than 40K).

I agree with the dealer price, at the end of the day they can sell it for what they want, i had a mate pick up an 06 euro accord luxury auto with full kit, tint, paint protection and all the goodies for 43K drive away

If you know the GM/Sales Manager himself, it is quite possible to achieve it. The GM at Robert Lane Honda I know of have said he can get me luxury with sat-nav for 42K without options like tint, mat, etc.

I was quoted $33,000 drive away before I put tint, paint protection. I think that was the lowest drive away price I have heard so far

Takes a fair bit of haggling though, from 3 dealers between Cairns and Brisbane! It was purchased toward the end of July, and delivered early August. (So toward the end of month does seem like a good time to buy).

I tried to the best of my ability to crack the 40k barrier, but No dealer would budge...
