My New Project - Special K EG Hatch

Ok all i thought i would start a thread in relation to the new project i am going to build. I bought the EG Hatch last week for 2k, EG Si with JDM B16A conversion, it had some minor panel damage and front drivers side sussy was bent but all is fixed now.

Ok so the plan is to in the near future put a K swap in the car, at this stage i am unsure if it will be a k20 or k24/20 combo. The car is going to be setup for circuit racing and Centrax are going to be supplying quite a lot of the parts
and possibly doing the swap for me.

In terms of the swap, i'm aware i will need the following parts:
Hasport EGK1 Bolt In Mount Kit (This Kit)
K20A Intermediate Shaft
Hasport EGKAX Axle Set
K20A or K24 Motor and *Compatible Transmission
Hasport EGWK Conversion Harness
K-Series ECU with Immobilizer removed
RSX Shifter Box & Cables
Throttle Cable that matches your engine
Custom Header, Exhaust & Catalytic Converter
K20 After-market Fuel Rail With Return Line Option & Regulator or External Fuel Pressure Regulator with return port and stock fuel rail
RSX Brake Booster Hose
2002 RSX Radiator Hoses
Is there anything else i might need?
Is there any chance i could use my koyo radiator from my dc5?
I'll continue to update this as it progresses, should be getting painted in the next week or 2.

dam your lucky... um good luck with the convertion i done a k24 in a delsol and things kept popping up as in expenses went through the roof..
but dont give up make sure u finish it..

What sort of issues did you come accross??? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I want to try get everything sorted prior to starting the conversion, altho i know obviously during the process issues may arise.

ok firstly the mount was wrong (the mechanic said) cuse it was off by a few cm... but i dont think it will be the problem for the eg as the mount will fit 100% but as i was the first to do it in a delsol in oz.. i had all the probs..
a pipe came off while driving and hit my crank sensor and it wouldnt crank btw this was on the motor way home from picking it up.. which i was like f this f that i dont want it anymore.. blah blah but now i snapped cvs and im kinda gettin shitty at it but its life.. YOU LOVE IT U WILL DEAL WITH IT..

$2k for a B16 swapped EG ?? wtf !?!?!?! the seller must have been a junkie or something hahaha.. is that a leather SiR-S steering wheel ? drool..

It need a bit of work, i have spent 2 weekends and 1k on fixing it up so far. Still needs paint etc. But it was a bargain for a base for my project.

B16A and box will be up for sale in the not to distant future for those interested. Interior will most likely be for sale too.
