I have no body roll now so if the wind was strong enough it would just blow me straight off the road.
Those petrol figures are really interesting. A few months Honda did a test with the Jazz and drove it from Melbourne to Sydney. It was a manual VTi-S from memory, with one passenger on board and the car travelled at the posted limit the whole with with normal driving (so no coasting, etc.)
The guy did the whole trip on 1 tank of petrol and still got around Sydney for 50km before he had to fill up.
I live in Strathfield and generally only drive to Crows Nest way via the city west link, or out to Carlingford way or Concord. I usually return about 6.0-6.2 lt/100km if I do a full tank of that sort of driving. If I throw in a trip out to Richmond say once a week or fornight, it generally drops to around 5.6lt/100km for the tank.
On a run up to the Hunter Valley with a full tank and 3 people on board I returned 5.3lt/100km.
I don't usually drive that hard and will tend to upshift at around 2700rpms. I think I have only red-lined it once, but I do have the occasional squirt to 6000rpms in 1st and 2nd.
wyl03 you figures sound strange....
it was actually melbourne to sydney on $40 of fuel.
