    like it has been said before, the engine cover can be very easily replaced or even sprayed to red... most of the time the sprays have a glossy finish so if its like then, then its most probably just a spray

    alot people change it so a mugen or custom engine covers, its simply for looks..
    Like madgrk, check the engine number for b16a's its found just under the valves on the engine block to the left and very easy to spot (unless theres an oil leak like mine had >_&lt

    If it is a b16b .. bagain mate! they're top engines very rare in aus and kill at top end =)..

    and no need to fight guys .. OH is a fun loving place foreveryone ^_^

    ok guy i went to have a closer look and there is a plate on the radiator support saying EK9!!!!!!

    is this definately a type r civ? if so that means the lady is trying to sell it for $2800 aint that dirt cheap for a type r motor?

    they plate near the radiator mount doesnt mean that much..

    it's important that u check the identification on the engine.
    it it's b16a it'll say b16a
    if it's Civic type R

    i'tll say B16b

    so check that out..
    with the red rocket covers
    u can just spray it red..
