    EG -> DC ? interchangeable?

    hello. I'm currently looking into starting on a project car which I'm hoping is a b18 into a civic. Just one question I would like to throw some integra rear brakes onto a civic hatch would this be a straight fit?
    many thanks, and I hope this is in the right section

    Depends what EG civic.

    The VTi and Si share the same REAR brakes as the INTEGRA DC2 + DC4. (vtir and Gsi) So you dont need to upgrade.

    Just upgrade the front brakes to DC2 or EG6 brakes , and upgrade the booster to a GSI (DC4) one

    I need to upgrade the rears because the drums are almost shot, and my bushings are starting to crack so I rather upgrade for the sake of safety. To be more precise can dc vti-r rears fit onto the breeze ? or am I looking at modifications to suit?
    Why hello there

    yes they can.
    But , try and find Si or VTi rear ( the whole trailing and + hub etc) for a easy bolt on job.
    Should be cheaper than a DC2 VTir rear too. Look in the FOR SALE section -

    oh ok, so it can in fact bolt on. Thank you for clearing it up for me. I was going to buy a VTI set up at first but one of my mates has a set of vti-r from his previous project lying around so he is selling to me at mates rates .
    Thank you for giving a quick answer, much appreciation.

    who gives a crap about 5 stud.

    it just gives you more wheel options, and has no real relation to what you can do with braking. the amount of coin you waste on getting new hubs and studs you can just chuck into rotors and a decent brake kit.

    oh ok... i thought perhaps it gives you bigger braking power and yeh, the option of more rims...

    i seen a reg eg in my area with 5 stud and ITR rims... lookz goodz...

    The bigger braking power unless you going to go really really big, the 4 stud can most definitely give you enough braking power to stop your EG

    So unless you really really REALLY favourite rims are 5 stud and you have that cash floating around, stick with 4 stud and upgrade, EGs ain't heavy so no need for something stupidly big like 380mm rotors and 12 Pot Calipers
