I just lately installed Mugen Airbox, exellent response bottom end, but top end it does lack a bit compared to my friends Injen.

Good thing i like about the Mugen air box is it looks similar to stock and wont attract defects or issue's from the law.

But for the price of Injen, its deinfately good value.

Instead of making a hole there, why don't you just remove the whole plastic grill? or making a new duct with rubber from bunnings that goes under the front bumper ?

Why is it illegal? It's the grey plastic that I'm talking about.

Anyone can help here? I don't think it's illegal.

Well, do they even know there is a plastic there to start with?

I don't think cops are very knowledgeabe about cars and they will be more concern towards your filter, your exhaust noise & how low your car is.
