yeh i was looking around, looks like 10-30 is the one. i was also looking at HPR oil (Penrite or Penzoil?) which was 15-60 my bro reckons i should get that because its good for heat. (he uses it in a turbo car im not sure it would work as well in vtec)

Using 15w-60 is too thick for Honda's and can cause excessive engine wear, plus Honda can void the warranty if you use such thick oil.

i was using mobil 1 (changed every 5000k with filter) on my dc2r but after watching best motoring international , the guy from spoon suggested using honda feo so ive switched back. had the cam belt re-done after honda screwed it up and when he removed rocker cover it was clean as, no build up of gunk anything. if honda doing work make sure they change filter as well, probably as important.

if you dun track ur car oem oil will do the job......even on track.....mobile 1 is good when new.....but will get dark fairly quickly and need to change fairly quickly....unless you dun vtec it......motul is the best I've been used so far.....

For daily you can use 4100 TURBOLIGHT 10W40.....similar as oem and cheap.....$40 bux for 5 liter

The next up is 8100 X-CESS 5W40....cost you $70 for 5 liter [I use this for daily]

The best is 300V CHRONO 10W40....cost you $90 for 4 liter....you need to pay another $50 to get another 2 liter bottle to get the job done [I use this for track]

There is plenty of them out in the market too.....Redline, Motul, Castrol, Mugen, Speed Master.....hope that help bro...

And Honda Aus only sells the mineral FEO. They don't sell this:
I saw that 100% syn Ultra Gold in Singapore. Honda really should sell that in Australia. It was around the same price as Mobil 1 in Singapore.

That's because Mobil1 and Ultra Gold are both imported into Singapore. Honda's FEO is made here (oe nearby), same with Mobil1 silver. If it was imported, it would be a similar price to Mobil1 Gold.

For daily driving i would reccommend just FEO or MOtul 8100 if you track your car i'd only ever use redline 5w-30 but thats 30$ a litre.

If it was sold here I reckon Honda dealers would start recommending it for more modern Hondas and I bet they would say it being 100% syn is a benefit (as opposed to the current position of saying FEO is the best for the car).

I wish they did sell it here. Then I wouldn't bring my own oil. My dealer was using Magnatec 10w-40 mineral oil!
