very sily CAI idea but just wanted to know why not?

basically i was thinking why not run the CAI pipe to sit infront of the engine fan? and somehow have the fan run most of the time or when racing etc... that would provide alot of cold air for the engine right?

i know im wrong but someone lighten me on why thanx?

umm...im not sure but if your running on a hot day, you would only get warm air into your cai? maybe you need a bag of ice or something handing in front of your fan

the fan will only be blowing air into the rad im pretty sure (not sure on the rotation of the fan though so it might even be sucking the air out of the rad...) some1 correct me if im wrong

sticking a cai pipe just behind it will only force warm/hot air in anyway, you can place your hand there after u go for a drive and see how hot it can get.

best place would be to have the pipe in the place of the stock resonator then out to the front bar

the fan sucks air from outside thru the radiator, this means that all the air by the time it comes thru the radiator it would've heated up from its orignal outside temp making it useless in terms of CAI.

    yes.
The radiator fan deals with HOT air - runs directly thru the finds of the radiator so you dont want that air entering your engine.

Best bet is something isolated from the engine bay itself...IE follow the stock airbox route down the drivers side guard etc.

AC fan is the exact same principle. It blows to cool down the ac .

Get the idea out of your head Just run a air feed pipe to the bottom of your stock airbox...

    lool mmkkk

i dont wanna do the normal CAI its not worth the 0.00001kw gain for the devaluating to the car by ripping parts appart, was trying to come up with something new..

just take out the resonator liek everyone else and put in a nice hi-flow air filter ( panel one like K+N or trust etc) . then run a pipe to the bottom and you will have a nicer induction noise , and also will gain slight mid range top end "feeling"

if you really want to do this idea so badly lol just buy a 10inch fan and place it under the front corner of ur car with piping running towards it and a flat panel filter. but then again i will doubt the fan will be able to keep up after a certain rpm and this idea is really just a very weak and simple supercharger and wont give mind blowing gains over just a normal CAI.
