GruppeM is Very good, but $$$$

I can honestly say its much better than Mugen, but the design isnt rain friendly.

Actually you will be suprised. If you know the right connections mugen and gruppeM is quite similar in price.

I am a Mugen air box owner and since I am now doing my own tuning and etc, I am slowly being convinced that the Gruppem is better. The IAT for the GruppeM is like half of what Mugen is at generally but I still have a stock front bar. Getting a aftermarket front bar soon with an airscoop, so I will see what difference it will make on the IAT.

I don't know anyone who has any rain issues wif the GruppeM and if you look at the design there is holes and etc for the water to escape.

There's no rain issues with GruppeM. Can't say the same if it's hailing or something, but the rain in Aus isn't that heavy that it will affect the performance of a GruppeM. Hosing water down the snorkel of GruppeM didn't seem to affect mine but with saying that, I don't recommend it just in case But if you are worried, GruppeM provides you with a rain cover for your snorkel which you can attach if you want to

Also with Mugen, unless you have an aftermarket front bar, it's hard to say that you would get more gains than you would with a GruppeM purely based on the design of where the air is being sucked from. The OEM front bar restricts the flow of air for Mugen whereas GruppeM sucks on demand from the windscreen Just reinforces what Temp says and this is clearly shown on data taken whilst tuning.

Btw if you're worried that you need to cut bits and pieces to fit the GruppeM, this is incorrect, GruppeM provides you with the vital parts so this doesn't have to be done. Thought I might point it out cos I've noticed some people get the wrong perception
