There's an absolute *night & day* difference in my car. It's about the same difference in swapping a stock 350 small block chev over to a mildly cammed 396 big block.

    Enjoy your build!

Oh and by the way, i'm running 30 psi on my fpr. started @ 38psi and turned it down in 2 psi incs. it seems to be happiest there....

hey mate. thanks for that. could you please explain what mods you have and why you turned it down to 30psi?

i searched and found stock was 30-37psi vac on and 40-47psi vac off. can some please correct that if it's wrong or tell me the exact proper stock fpr rating?

i noticed the high cam also doesn't sound anywhere near as loud on 30psi and i got scared and thought i was running too lean....

    No worries,

Sorry bout all the confusion. All my mods are listed in this thread. I adjusted my fpr with vacum connected to 30psi Because a M8 of mine religiously runs his 180-200fwhp B-series Builds on 38psi and told me that i wouldnt need quite that much. I'm always a bit careful when it comes to things like taking chances in burning up my engine. So against his advice, i ran the engine through @ 38psi in the general rpm range and found that even though i wasnt getting any knock, the engine seemed to bog and stink of fuel out the exhaust from idle-around 4000rpm. This meaning to me that there was definately too much fuel in the low end. I have a Apexi power fc so i put it through the motions with the monitoring. The stock standard injectors were actually running 100% duty cycle @ 7600rpm-rev limit. Long story short, I'm now @ 30psi Amazing throttle response and my Inj duty cycle isn't max'd out until rev limiter kicks.

My engine itself is very quiet now just need to get rid of my louda$$ muffler...

I've also included my AFR sheet and a link here to key information about honda fuel systems.

    Hope this helps

^^^ i'm a dick sorry... i did read this whole thread and forgot the whole thread was about your setup

did you measure it while it was on load though? as knock won't happen unless the car is on load... by the sounds of it you did it at idle coz you were sniffing for petrol at the exhaust hehehe

but i'm also aware you have a tuned power fc so may not be relevant to most of us at this stage... i just can't tell coz the high cam is so loud!!!

but yeah i'll dyno it soon prior to putting the mods on as half of them have arrived already.

if anyones interested also i have a source for 2.5in 300cell hi flow metal cats for under AU$200 delivered!!!
