my car is turbo .. not na .. than should i get 3A?? im hella confused now ...
Crap, sorry bro, didn't notice your boosted =P LMFAO I thought it was a gimmick... In any case I don't think it would matter that much, even with these test a lot of demo cars rolling around use all the brand name and that hasn't stopped them making kickass power so yeah, get something decent and won't put a dent in ya wallet lol

hmm i woodent rush out and buy one only coz it won a comparo in asm... there are plenty of others products out there so a mag article can only really give an indication. that said, ive got an artice in zoom that gave the gong to the 'drift urethene' followed by the trust arinx with apexi not far behind... that test was done with a turbo car and even the winner only recorded a 3.5kw gain over stock. the way in which it is setup (sri/cai) and how much cold air u can feed it would probably have a bigger impact.
imo, at the end of the day i dont think there is a drastic difference between the various pod filters on the market and as long as u have one that does the job and wont fall apart then u shood be good. for piece of mind ide stick to a name brand as they are reliable and offer about as much performance increase as a pod can (as far as i can tell).
and there should be no problems with foam filters either as long as they are properly maintained (ie.oiled).
I use an Apexi because it is dry. I don't trust ASM. But if you are going 3A, please do give us a review of your experience.
AEM dryflow is interesting because it uses a material like polyester. It does it a special cleaning solution to clean it though. The Apexi material seems like paper. I still have no idea how to clean it. Instead, I got a 2nd replacement filter for $70 from overseas.
can we blast paper filter with compress air? from the inside to clean it out?
or wash it??
some filter can be washed ... -_-" but i dun really know how to wash filter
i just hose it down with water hose from inside out and dry it ROFL !!! ..
den .. when it dries i blow the filter with compress air
btw is it the correct way ?
any body used blitz sus b4? its from mesh of metal not paper or foams ..?
any review on this?
Oh that only works with some air filters, if its oiled best not to blow it with compressed air, gets everywhere and dries or damages the filter. Most air filters will have instructions on ways to wash their specific air filter. Some need special care others like you describe, wash, rinse and hang to dry.

Like dreadangel said, blasting with compressed air can damage your filter. For oiled types like K&N and trust, you use their cleaning solution added to some water and you put the filter in to clean off the oil, which takes the dirt with it. For the metal mesh filters, you can be a little more rough. But for most of the washable filters, you add the cleaning solution to a bucket of water, soak and agitate the filter in the water. Repeat once more and then rinse by agitating in a bucket of clean water. There is a video of how to do it on AEM's website. It's less damaging then adding cleaning solution directly to the filter and then hosing the filter off.
