    as he said he wants to keep HIS car, so stop the evo crap...

    look at ur condition of ur car first, how are the brakes, suspension, sway bars etc, are they all in good condition? as u kno more power needs more stopping power.

    now to the business end of the deal- ur spending 22k on an engine alone, so its obvious u want power, either NA or turbo u dont know...

    current engine- rebuild+ turbo? no point if ur spending 22k
    b18c5- fully built + turbo- is easier/cheaper than k20
    k20 fully built + turbo- is the way to go if u want no cash left after heh

    if i were u....check my car, make sure good brakes, suspension, sway abrs, strut bars all the suspension stuff. then id probably go b18c5 fully built turbo- as there is less mucking around, less hassle, and will take maybe less time.

    i use to see badhbt parked in front of gpc (good performance centre)
    but it had a h22a in it. dont know if the new setup was done by Charlie from GPC though..

    k20a beat a evo? you'll be pouring so much money to get there. b series turbo ftw!!!

    Not really, If your car can lock up the wheels now, it can lock up the wheels with a turbo. Maybe if the car got significantly heavier, then yes. If u got more powerfull brakes, all he'd do is lock up, achieving the same stopping distance.


    Wat u will need is pad that can take more heat, as stopping will probably b from a higher speed, thus longer time braking. Also discs that get dissapate the heat better.

    i suggest you spend it wisely. Id suggest doing a k swap. Sell off your existing engine+running gear. K swap can usually be done for 12k. which leaves 13k for a deposit on a house....

    personally i think its quite dumb spending 25k into an integra. esp a dc2 as the shape is getting old.

    Also ask yourself....

    you spend 25k on a 'fully sik' engine. but how often are you planning to take it to the track or actually do some real racing with it? or is it just for wank factor?

    all of the $25k isnt going on the engine....i have $18k roughly set aside for the engine swap etc.

    who says i dont already have a house...because i do....yes, no bullshit i already do.

    i believe this is the path im following, could change,


    -start $25k.
    -$3k on paint touch ups, key scatch taken out, and engine bay painted.
    -leaves $23k.
    -$3500 on interior setup.
    -leaves $18.5k.
    -$18.5k spent on engine swap, possible turbo setup.
    -whatevers left goes on black at star city..lol
