    I'm running 60A main fuse--->6awg ---> distro---> 2 x8 gauge to 2 amps

    I've got 1000WRMS Rockford Fosgate Power amp. Even wired to 1 ohm doesn't even pull anymore than 60A, if it did, it would've blown, i know its not good for the amp, cause big cable= more power to amp, but its just a temp.

    I shall upgrade to 0gauge soon anyway.

    On the safe side use 4 gauge main and 2x 8 gauge out.

    i think the monoblock amp i'm getting maybe 500W RMS....and the 4 channel is 400W max not RMS....so i think i should be fine with 8 gauge cables all the way....i wasnt looking after big sound...just after the deep bass that my speakers doesnt give me

    Well if your speakers aren't giving the midbass you want, there are other contributing factors:

    What pioneer speakers are they? splits, coaxial?
    Are the front speakers mounted properly? vented into door cavity? mdf spacer? sound deadened doors?

    If not, then this is the route i would be taking to improve you speaker mid bass performance.

    Also look at different enclosure for your sub. Is it sealed ported?

    i got a del sol same as JDMFreak...atm i got pioneer splits at the front and 6 inch 3 ways at the back...i get good high range and ok mid range sound...i had to tune my amp and headunit to lower the low range bass coz it doesnt really sound too good when i turn up the volume...i was also after a sub in my boot...i believe that subs in sealed boxes will tend to be louder with the low range or deep bass if u want to call it than ported subs. but also u will need to have the right amp to go with the sub...if u get a cheapo $100 amp to power up a 15inch sub, it may not sound as good as a $300 amp powering up a 10inch sub

    the amp is the most important, u need to find a monoblock amp that has a few adjustable features on it so u can tweek the sound coming out of it so its adjusted according correctly according to the size of the sub, weather it would be 10, 12, or 15 inch.

    my recomecdation is to get a 600W rms monoblock amp and a 12 inch sub with a sealed box. that way u get the low range sound u want from the boot of a del sol...if u want anymore than that, then u will need to upgrade ur power cables first, and then get a more powerful amp and either get 2 12inch subs in a sealed box, or just 1 15inch sub in a sealed box

    hmmm it's ur choice... it's hell of cheaper using 8 gauges all the way through i know... but using 4gauge going to be much better sq for sure... like what i said... what's the point ur getting that high end amps if ur not going to use it in it's max potential...

    chip in another 100 bux and it all solved...

    and also when the time comes and u want to upgrade some more... more amps or subs... u wouldn't need to go all the toruble again putting the cable through from the front to the back...

    showcar ready... lol

    mate, just curious at weather or not if this has been finished...plus any opinions u may have with having a sub in the boot of ur del sol now compared with no sub
