    my Planned B16 Turbo Kit

    hey guys!

after much debate looks like ill be getting a turbo kit on my car in a month or 2. a mate of mine is doing the work for me, not backyard style.

im posting here because i was hoping that anyone could give me opinions and the pro's and con's of this setup, and anything that i may have missed out on.

KEEP IN MIND. i do not want this to be a highway slut of a car, im planning on hitting boost at 3000rpm-3500rpm with this setup, and running only 7psi all i want is 200hp awt...

    Gt28/30 Rs with a .63 housing
Water to air intercooler from ARE(sleeper)
    intake
    microtech LT-10 Computer
fuel pump and regulator(dont need bigger injectors as only running 7psi)
    ARP head studs
triple core head gasket(lower the compression)
    custom exhaust manifold
    custom single plate clutch

thats the basics of it, obviously included in there is the intake piping, dump pipe, performance radiator, fuel lines etc.

any and all opinions would be lovely, dont try and convince me to go N/A...not interested lol

    thanks guys!

200hp can be easily done with a stock b16a. GT28RS is a very nice turbo and will suit you good ifnt perfect. But i would leave out the head gasket and head studs. Theres no need to lower compression if you're only planning to run 7psi. You only need to lower it if you're planning to run abit more boost to make abit more power without having to rebuild but its not recommended.

Also get a nice set of injectors and leave the stock regulator.

SLOWEGG. my brother was running 7psi with a t66 on his integra, and it would ping in the heat. this setup is a VERY VERY VERY precautionary build, which is why i am considering getting a block guard also

according to my mate who is doing the turbo setup i wont need injectors *shrug* meh ill buy em anyway

    thanks!

Stay away from block guards. For the power figures you're looking at just leave the motor the way it is and concentrate on the main bolt on stuff.

I just finished my b16a turbo running about 7psi (road tune) and it doesnt ping or anything even in the heat.

Theres heaps on info about b16a turbo on here, just do a quick search and it will show you what exactly you need and dont need. GL buddy.

Setup looks good. 200hp (150kw) you should be able to acheive without much problem as long as everyone knows what they are doing.

Like Slowegg said and I agree:

    Stock fuel reg is fine,
Dont decompress engine, leave it as is,
    Get larger injectors.
Absolutly no need for block guard.

So where are you from, Brisbane somewhere? I see your getting/got a ARE intercooler.

    amazingly stated ..

this will be easy to make 200 hp on wheels.. and more !! if you got the right stuff and tuned good.

dont worry about the compression so much .. ur only running on 7 psi if you want 10 psi then u should think again ..

on 10 psi .. things are on limits.. so dont risk your b16 to the point of blowing. either ur gasket or worst is internals being crooked. Good LUCK

why water to air? haha i want it sleeper, plus without an intercooler i will get more air flow into the radiator and into the engine bay = less chance of overheating

yeah 200hp atw sounds like fun, i dont want heaps of power, i just want early boost with a good torque curve for quick excelleration. plus i wanna take it down the strip and see what sort of time i get from it

    thanks for the input guys!!!!

buddy, a little birdy tells me that your car is already built to handle boost. So just leave the engine alone and turbo that sucka
