    B16A rebuild

    hi guys

    just wondering,

for a B16A full rebuild to OEM spec?

from the top to the bottom?

how much would the price i am looking for?

not interested in the aftermarket spec, only to OEM spec

an help or suggestion would be great...

the problem is the enigne has not enough oil in the motor and took it for a long run.....that's what happen

It would be cheaper to just go and buy another B16a engine from a wrecker as if you ran it low on oil it would be very hard to quote up a rebuild without stripping the engine first. Most OEM rebuilds will start from around the $3000 depending on how much damage is done to your engine.

a full rebuild? Easy... ring honda and ask for a quote on new pistons, new rings, new cams, new springs/valves/retainers, new water pump, new gaskets, new oil pump etc etc etc + then add the price for a clean-up & hone... and then ask yourself was it worth paying that much for an oem 118kw?

Better off getting Dyno Dave to build you a decent bottom end to match with the B16A head. Probably would be cheaper than a Honda OEM rebuild anyway.
Are my posts worthy of a PQ point ???

why not just buy a replacement motor. Will be much cheaper.

depend what i am using the motor for?

daily driving, yeh stock bottom would be good enough for me

but seens like i will be doing lots of track work or 1/4 mile

maybe it's better of build a bottom end with aftermarket internal

    but it's all depend,

thanks a lot for the suggestion
