I had Yokohama C-Drives fitted recently when I upgraded to 17 inch rims, and I'm very happy with them. Great grip (over the stock Dunlop 16s), and on a par for noise. They're reasonable over rough roads, but you will feel the shift to the lower profile over pothole-style corrugations.
My car is doing a lot of pitching and darting under braking and heavy acceleration right now, but I'm fairly sure that's down to the wheel alignment rather than the tyres.
Probably your springs are worn in and more pliable
