    what audison amp?

    ok,
i am planning to get focals 165V2, for an ek1, firstly can someone tell me if they are 6 or 6 1/2"? and i am looking to power them with an Audison amp, what amp would best suit my focals for the front? at this stage, i am probably not goin to amp the rear speakers.....not sure of a budget yet for the amp, just something that can give it some good power.....

the focal 165 v2's are 6.5 inch, hence the 165 as for an amp, the srx2 2 channel ($285 rrp) would be adequate if ur not looking to spend a fair bit more to upgrade to the lrx series. the srx3 3 channel ($629 rrp) is also a popular option if u intend to use it to power a sub later on.

u can check out here for more audison products and here for the audison pricelist.

however, although audison are a very good brand they are far from ur only choice for an amp. other brands such as focal, audio system and alpine are also worth a look.

    The guys above are correct. The '165' and '160' (like the '130' and '100') refers to the diametre in millimetes (i.e. 165mm / 160mm / 130mm / 100mm = 6.5" / 6.0" / 5.25" / 4" respectively).

For the Civic you can fit both 165 and 160 but be very careful of the depth. In any case you're going to have to make some baffles to fit them correctly and get a good seal to aid midbass quality.

I can post images if need be?

It depends on the budget and overall power requirments. If the budget and power requirements are low then consider either of these:

    Audison SRx2
    Audison LRx2.4

If you can stretch the budget a little higher then go for one of these:

    Audison SRx2S
    Audison LRx2.9

Remember the more power you have, the more control you have.

    SRx 3 were never $400

    In 1994 they were $697.
    In 1995 they were $693.

Increase the medication for a better memory.
