The k20a sounds different to a k24a and responds differently to the headers. You should try 2 k24a Euros, one with a Maxim and one with Toda. The Maxim keeps your Euro sounding like an Euro, except for a very loud "PSSSHH" sound when you lift the throttle at 7000+RPM. The Toda in the k24a sounds more like a h22a. Just listen to the Hondata dyno vid, and the Toda sounds similar to that.

Haha, I know but it was really a cash flow issue. Have to save for each item one at a time, can't afford to splash $10k straight after buying the car.

I reckon the Toda has more gains, but the Maxim is more silent. Of course, both headers should beat all the TSX headers coming out of the US.

What's a suggested cat to get to match the Toda/Maxim headers? Metal Cat?

Metal cat is good. You need to bring it to the exhaust shop to weld on some flanges though as it doesn't come with them for the Euro. Also, you need it done up in the right length for the headers.

Can't really say that though. Since there is none dyno comparison yet. Hytech exhaust is very2 good, read through rsx and k20a forum, you can see, JDM products is not always better than US. I reckon, in term of gains shouldn't be much different probably the difference is the built quality and material.

Hytech headers only fit if you get the Hytech cat and exhaust as well. It's not going to fit with the other cats and exhausts, even the stock one.. I'm still waiting for a Hytech headers dyno. The only dyno I've seen was the works including cams, valves, springs, retainers, intake manifold, exhaust and cat as well as the headers.

But Toda and Maxim still produces a higher output than the DC Sports and Comptech headers.

I guess the Hytech exhaust combo should be the most extreme exhaust for CL9/CL7 atm. The header is longer tube design which tend to be racing header and works even better with aggresive cams. I want them myself if only I haven't got full exhaust system atm.

I believe, you have seen the hondata tuning guide for TSX. In their dyno test there is comparison of Comptech header+ airbox+reflash yielded the around the same result dyno compare with toda header +injen +vtc + tuning. The only difference is the mid range power which is caused by VTC.
Anyway the DC sports and comptech doesn't come with test pipe or stock cat elimination compare to toda which could cause higher output.

It'd be hard to know the difference without side by side dyno testing, on the same car, on the same day. Both are well made and designed to perform. I've been happy with the maxim works but Toda is cheaper and if the gains are at least on par it's probably a more economical choice.

The hytech is a racing header and exhaust set, and sounds very loud. I'd say it would be N1-level.

Peak power figures are the same, but if you look at the mid range at 5500rpm, the toda has an extra 10hp at 5500rpm. Here's the graph. From the midrange, Toda > Comptech. Red = Comptech + Reflash, Blue = Toda + Kpro + VTC

"HotWheelz" a member from k20a forum did the test between 25 stock VTC vs 45 degree VTC with custom header and K&N air filter in place.

    http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread...ight=k24a2+VTC

That shows that ,when he switched to 45 vtc, produces higher mid range power and torque which is around the same with hondata dyno graph you showed so clearly it wasn't from the header.

How would you go about shoe-horning a hytech header into a euro?

I don't see it fitting without clearance issues. Has anyone tried it?
    And so it begins...
