Fuel consumption figures are tested according to ADR (Which was based off the European testing).. The figures indicated for each vehicle were conducted in LABORATORIES and not on the ROAD. The manufacturers perform the tests and send the report to the transport department!

The average consumption figures are based on a 50/50 driving mix, in some European countries, they have up to three different figures for different driving conditions for each vehicle....

They cannot be replicated for real life on road driving conditions...
