And to the thread creator, I tihnk you'll find most owners have other cars to utilise too.....

I mean the 330 is practically the same price. The Z3 is in the 20K mark now, the Z4 is in the $30K mark now, so too is the 350Z. The Boxster is only held up by its badge, and the SLK is also in the $30K price tag bracket.
errr, where are you quoting those prices from?

look the S2K was built to be a track car.

speaking from a S2K owners point of view, it is a sportcar and a track car.

if you can see which other convertible in it's class comes with the f1 looking speedo and other features you will see it is a born track car.

it is not a cheap car to purchase and owners do not buy a honda just to settle for it cause they could not afford a bmw, merc or porsche.

they bought the s2K cause it is different and has features that cannot be found from other sports convertibles.

for those who wish to criticize the S2K, you should actually hope in one (even bone stock) and take it cornering and see it is not your average convertible.

it allows the driver to feel as if they control the car 100% from the aggressive handling, acceleration and opening the valves up to 9000rpm.

it is the most powerful 2.0l naturally aspirated motor ever made and has a very very high output per litre (88kw per litre).

LOL, I don't want your sympathy.

In fact when we get trolls and children at S2ki I point them to OzHonda.

when you say shit on other forums
i.e. how this site is full of children.
Hey, where did I say that?

I found where I described OzHonda as a 'cess pool of idiocy' but I couldn't find the 'children' reference

as you can plainly see, most of us don't encourage this sort of behaviour
Hey buddy, freedom of speech and all that. If you want to encourage misinformation and have a go at me for criticising it you're just supporting my opinion of OzHonda.

Over the weekend I was wondering if you could ever clean up OzHonda. My conclusion was that it would be an uphill battle and from the S2000 point of view it would be redundant anyway. So I say let the kids and idiots have their fun here. And I'll keep sending business this way too.

One of my best friends is a guy who posted here asking for information about a turbo kit he was buying from the US. He got the usual BS info from a bunch of idiots that didn't know what the hell they were talking about.

I helped him out and since then we have worked on each others cars on many a weekend. Without Ozhonda I'd have at least one less friend, and if I didn't come here he'd have a useless turbo kit.

I'm sure plenty of the Ozhonda fraternity think I'm an arsehole but I doubt anyone can seriously say I'm not a benefit from a technical point of view.

LOL, I can't take credit for all of them. I'm sure some find their own way here by mashing the palm of their hands on the keyboard.

Seriously, forums adopt a dominant culture and that culture thrives. I'm pretty sure when sensible people with a good knowledge base come here they quickly get sick of it and leave. So the idiot culture thrives.

At S2ki I am pretty hard on people posting crap. I get a lot of hatred for it. But the end result is that the dominant culture is a tad more serious and helpful.

    Both have their place.

This thread is about categorising S2000 owners. I would say that there are those who own the car but are more interested in the social side. Shooting the shit with like minded peeps. Ozhonda is for them. Then ther are those that are passionate about the car and like to get under the hood, or do track days. S2ki is for them.

it is ok to be able to use both forums considered that you know that the forums are different and perceptions are different.

ure a sore, jealous, bitter little person. I can honestly say that ive never read anything remotly close to that in here or on s2ki.com. Its posts like this that give ozhonda its rep, and make the s2000/nsx forum a complete joke.

    I'm with white boy!

Treating this thread seriously for a second, what other car comes closer to the traditional ideal of a sportscar?

Nothing by BMW short of a M car. The Porsche Boxter perhaps but you'd have to go the S and that's almost double the price.

To me the S is a pure sportscar without paying another $30-50K for a badge and cup holders.
