    cat bolts with springs on them?

    im removing the cat to downpipe bolts which are two bolts with small springs on them, im not sure but is there anything i need to know before i remove these bolts, will they fly out and rip my skull in half because of the springs/
    civic 97 ek1 (1.6T)

    the spring tention on them is bugger all

    you can safely undo it.

    what I do is loosen the nut with a spanner and then compress the spring with my hand and with thie other hand I undo the nut.

    you have to have stong mechanics hands
