    b18c7 with 120,xxxkms. should do rebuild now ?

    hey guyz

    as u may know now....the DC2Rs are showing there age in terms of kms.....so
    wanted to know if anybody out there had to do a rebuild due to high kms ?

    if so..please post up specs and what was done and how much.

    you should be looking at a (possible) rebuild at around 200k if that....depends if the car is loosing more oil due to worn rings or valves etc.
    All C7's are higher performance and tighter tolerances than most other honda engines so no doubt , if treated alittle bad they would need something rebuilt closer down the track.

    why would you rebuild if you dont need to ?? unless you wanna build some monster engine just keep driving !

    Always do a compression or leak down test. This will show signs of wear and tear. You should be gettin 250-260 PSI for a healthy B18c7 motor

    120XXXkm............. is that it??? i juist had my timing belt done yesterday, i was 65000 overdue! timing belt was stilll lookngi strong! but yeah 120,000 you've got nothing to worry about im over the 250,000 km mark and my engine still doesnt miss a beat!!!! anyone need a timing belt done for cheap just give us a yell! i used to work at honda my mates who will perform the service are qualified honda mechanics!!!

    if serviced and treated right (+constant thashing) they should last 300,000kms

    but ****, dont u work at a honda dealership?

    i used to no longer a mechanic! but my mates are still there! used to work at a Honda dealership/service centre
