The V6 Accord has ample of torque at low to midrange, as well as the bigger power than the Euro. Unfortunately no matter how hard you accelerate the Euro with no mods, the standard V6 Accord (current model) cannot be beaten in terms of straight line acceleration.
P.S. Correct me if I'm wrong
It must be damn close over the 1/4 - some of the tests I have seen for the V6 show a 1/4 time of 15.5 which is pretty much dead even with what Euro owners are achieving stock. Obviously that is a manual euro versus an auto v6... auto euro vs auto v6 is no contest.
I thought you guys might enjoy reading a review of the Honda Accord EX-V6 sedan w/six-speed manual, it's from a Canadian car site who does a pretty good job on car reviews. The EX is the top of the line model in North America.
I like the 50 series 17inch wheels too. Too bad they don't offer the wheel package here, much better than our current 16inch ones.

Yeah, the advantage of the V6 is that all you need to do is floor the throttle and everyone including my grandma can pull close to 15.5. For the Euro, it'll take a good driver as only the manual gets 15s.

Do I have to launch the Euro at certain rpm? I've launched from 2000rpm but never tried higher rpm.

Just saw Wheels mag, I don't really trust the performance figure printed there. Accord V6 posted 7.5 secs 0-100km/h while Euro managed 7.8 secs for Lux 6MT but 7.9 secs for Standard 6MT?

Look in the month/issue tested...were they tested in the same issue together?
Theres always going to be slight inconsistencies when they don't test two cars next to one another, on the same day, at the same temp, in the same conditions, with the same driver etc...

Am allowed to mention, in this thread, that my local dealer gave me the new Legend to drive today? It feels like a Euro Auto until you press-on the go pedal. Paddle gear change on steering wheel works very well. It's a bit more wobbly but holds a good line when going around bends. Grip is amazing. Gadgets everywhere. It shrinks around you as you get more familiar with it. It's quiet apart from some muted tyre noise and the sweet engine.
