Steering after putting 15" x 7 mags on the Jazz

Hey guys, i have just put on a set of 15" x 7 ATS DTC Superlight on my 2003 jazz (1.3 CVT) with 195/50 tyres. The steering has became much more heavy. Is that normal? In the long run would i damage the EPS?

    thx

Yes the new rims (around 6.5kg) are definately heavier than the stock 14" steel wheels. Before, I tried putting on 15" honda alloys that came with pre-facelift vti-s and the steering was still fine with those.

probably grippier tyres and wider width making it heavier MORE FRICTION

Yeah Could be this reason. I also changed my wheels to 15" rim 7" wide with 195/55 tire but the steering feeling is about the same to me.

My rota wheels weight around 5KG which not that havier than 15" stock rim I used before.

The stock alloy wheels is about 7.7 kg, ur new rims which is lighter than the stock, shouldn't get a heavry steering feel. maybe because ur rims is now one size up from 14" to 15"?
