EK civic hatch tail light problem. loose ground wire?

    Hey,

I've a EK civic hatch with no functioning tail lights.

Center (top) light works OK, Fuse is OK, but no brake or tail lights.

I've done a bit of research and suspect the ground connection has corroded
    and failed.

Has anybody had this occur and where is the offending connection?

    Nick.

    Pulled and visually checked OK.

Both brake and tail lights are out.

    That's four lights.

Two circuits (brake + tail lights), two lamps (left and right) in parallel.

    Center/top brake light works ok.

Hence the suspicion of a faulty ground connection.

I'm willing to be edumacated, but it looks like I'm gonna lose my wkend to chasing wires at this point.

    Nick.

I'd suggest testing new lights first as sometimes the dual filament bulbs can fail without looking it.
