    i guess the truth in this threads title - is that its "lighter"than OEM , so this gives the car a chance to outrun bullets ? OR atleast when the bullets hit they are travelling minus the reverse speed of the car ? (1000fps to 985 fps makes a difference lol)

    erm isnt CF and Kevlar illegal for street use?

    If you hit a ped, they will get seriously hurt since CF/Kev doesnt bend and absorb like metal, and totally ruins the crumple zone system at the front.

    edit; yeh they are illegal

    ^^ I don't know is it that simple as a blanket rule? I thought the BMW M3 CSL had a factory carbon fibre bonnet. Maybe it is ok if it is engineered and crash tested, etc. but don't think it is a blanket rule.
