And it will but I'm just saying if your going to spend the money and time to put an intake system in, get a good one and do it properly the first time and it will be sweet.

that looks like the standard intake tube with a Pod filter(KnN, Simota) attached at the end of it.... doesnt look that bad prob a really DIY job at home..... do you think the power and sound would be as good as the specifically designed AEM intake.. i wonder??

But otherwise it looks like he has done a really clean and great install...

That's exactly what it looks like. You can see the fabricated pod bracket and the intake piping is the OEM pipe stretched higher towards the firewall. Would there really be much of a gain using this setup? It'd be breathing warm air whereas the standard box at least has an intake coming from in front of the box taking in cooler air. This mod would be for sound more than anything else I would've thought.

just a short ram intake isn't it? breathin in hot air from the engine bay, won't be much gain at all *i reckon. need cai for real gain

Better off just waiting for the AEM intake better than this OEM intake..looks alright though...no real performance gain.

I think maybe the guy who did it was probly not worried about the power increases maybe he did it more for the sounds which makes such a difference with the DOHC VTEC Hondas anyways.... like the sounds goes from awesome without the POD to Insane with the POD..

So yeah maybe the guy wasnt worried about power more sound, then anything else

Well with the POD in the sound is insane...with the AEM intake apparently pumps out about 99db's so thats pretty loud pretty much instant defect if cop catchs ya but if you do it properly and get a box-casing put around the POD be better aswell because the POD is going to be right at the back so won't be really sucking alot of cold air more hot air from the engine and also if cop looks in engine they can't defect you because you have box around the pod unless they do a decabel test..but meh
