Replacement motor for F22A#?

Didn't get any responses in the 'noob' forum, so I suppose it was the wrong place to post it.

Yeah, just kinda curious as to whether an F20B SOHC or F22B# will swap for an F22A6 without too much effort. Changing the ECU itself wouldn't be much of a drama but the loom wouldn't be fun -- I can get either engine for $750, just need something far less tired than my 250,000km F22A6 before I do any further modifications, oil consumption's starting to bother me a little.

I wouldn't ask if I could find the information, but to be perfectly honest I've had near nothing to do with Hondas before buying my Accord, so I don't know, really. If anyone's got a clue I'd appreciate the help.

F20B's are DOHC... from a jdm accord

You plan on doing this to a CB accord wagon? AWESOME!!!

the f22b and f20b are essentially the same block with different bore/strokes to achive the difference in displacement. The f22a is also of the same family of castings, so physically its going to be very easy to drop right in. The f22b is going to be easier as it is a SOHC vtec head and therefore ancillierie mounts for ps/ac etc will be more likely to fit.

The wiring loom will be easy, i havent looked at it, but from the countless swaps i have done, the most likely pinouts will be for vtec, vtec pressure, maybe some resistors for the injectors, and iab, o2. But nothing with half a brain wont make happen.

It's awesome to hear that I won't have to mess with mounts. I might just have to invest in a service manual now, so I can get started on the planning for this thing...

And yeah, a CB wagon. I like my space, and I've always thought a wagon with a few small mods looks near as good as a hatch (even if it weighs too much). I suppose my other question should go in transmissions... Either that or I can study the service manual to see what needs to be done for a manual swap...
